Noah's Park Nursery
Welcome to Trinity Wesleyan Church’s Noah’s Park Nursery!
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them,
For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14.
Purpose
The purpose of the church nursery is to provide a safe, healthy, loving and fun environment for small children while teaching them about God’s love.
The nursery will be open to children up to 24 months of age during Sunday School,
Sunday Worship, Wednesday Bible Studies, and special events when announced.
Safety and Health Guidelines
The nursery has implemented many safety guidelines including child information cards, sign-in and sign-out procedures, and a parent paging system. Each nursery worker is carefully recruited, screened and trained to provide the utmost care for each child.
Health Guidelines for the nursery include a room cleaning and toy sanitizing schedule, a sanitary diaper changing procedure and a well baby policy to ensure that each child stays healthy under our care. The Well Baby Policy outlines when a sick child can not be admitted to the nursery. These conditions include:
- Fever or vomiting in the last 24 hours
- Discharge in or around the eyes
- Green or yellow runny nose
- Excessive coughing
- Diarrhea within the last 24 hours
- Questionable rash
- Any communicable disease
The Parent Brochure explains the information a parent needs to know before they place their child in the nursery’s care.
In a safe and healthy environment that is planned just for them, young children are encouraged to learn and grow. Secure in the knowledge that everything possible is being done to keep their child safe and happy, parents can take advantage of time away from their children to build their own relationships with God and others in the church family.
Learning about God’s Love
While it is very important that the church nursery be safe for children, it is also important to maintain an environment that permeates God’s love. Our goal is to individually teach each baby through natural learning activities that he or she can begin to learn about God. The curriculum is designed to help the nursery caregiver use the time spent with little ones in the nursery to build spiritual foundations. The sounds, words, actions and most of all, the feelings that are created in this casual setting will flow into a natural pattern of teaching and learning that will eventually build a young child’s understanding of God, Jesus and the loving comfort found in the people around him or her at church.
Nursery Caregivers
If you are interested in volunteering as a nursery caregiver, please contact the church office or Katherine, the Nursery Director, at (610) 398-1711.
Nursery Manual
The policies and guidelines included in this handbook will also ensure that the nursery caregivers understand what is expected of them and are protected from exposure to illness and liability issues.
